First ultrasound.

The baby's head in this early 10 week ultrasound is on the right and the feet buds are on the left.  The scanner wasn't hooked up so I couldn't load a quality picture.

21 Weeks - Face

Lil Marie was kicking her arms and legs during these ultrasounds. She's looking healthly and happy (If you look close enough she's smiling)!

There will be a small baby shower for the ladies in Port Angeles July 8th.  A second baby shower for friends and family will be held August 12th at our house.  Both will be held at 11am.  Look for the evite soon.  We are registered at Target and the code name and password is SNICKERS or you can run a search on Target.com.  Target wouldn't let me add music and books to the registry and those things would be perfect gifts.  We don't need much.

No pot belly, just fat around the rim.

Morning sickness is all but over.  My growing uterus is squishing everything on the inside up into my sternum which makes drinking, eating, laying down and walking uncomfortable.  Today is my first day without a fever since I have strep throat.  I've been no good to the world for a week but I feel like I'm getting better.  I was sick, the baby is ok.  I heard the heartbeat and it is pumping strong.

14 weeks, 2 days (we say 15 weeks, 2 days)

We are now between 14 and 15 weeks.  This information will be confirmed at our next doctor appointment.  Hopefully at that point we can tell the sex of the baby.  Our appointment is at 17 weeks so they may want to wait until after week 20 to find out the sex.

Surgery wounds

March 29th I left work with a fever.  Thinking that I was getting sick again with the same sickness I had had just a few weeks ago, I didn't immediately call the doctor.  The fever worsened over the weekend and I ended up at the hospital on Monday.  The original thought was that I was having an appendicitis so I was sent for testing.  The surgeon was not convinced that I needed surgery so I was kept overnight.  The fever worsened overnight to 104 degrees so first thing Tuesday morning I had surgery.  They removed my appendix and said that I had ruptured it over three weeks prior to that.   I am now feeling much better but what a crappy thing to go through!

My scar is throbbing today

The baby weighs between 7-8oz. now.  We have another ultrasound on the 19th of May to confirm the sex.  My OB thinks it is a boy purely by the pace of the heartbeat.  The ligaments around the lower part of my abdomen are stretching.  I feel the baby's movements all the time.  It feels like little poking sensations.  We are about halfway there!

Baby is the size of a large banana and weighs in just under 1 pound.

Jeff is really excited because he hasn't seen the baby since week #10.  I am definately noticing a turn for the better in my health.  With more energy I have been walking and doing more physical things.  And I also noticed that since I've been exercising the small dizzy spells have not returned.

The Prenatal Cradle back brace.

I just got this back brace. The weight of the belly is redistributed to my shoulders to support my growing belly so that not all of the weight is pulling on my spine.

The scar is starting to stretch.

This week the baby is between 8 and 11 inches long.  She should be around 1 pound, 6 oz. give or take and will be gaining muscle over the next week.  They anticipate her gaining another 6 oz. this week.  She will also develop REM (rapid eye movement) and start dreaming.
Jeff and I set up her nursery this weekend and we had fun.  We are so excited to have her with us.  We can't wait to share our joy with all the friends and family.

Lillian weighs in about 2 pounds now and has developed regular awake and sleep patterns.  She is moving around a lot now and able to kick me so hard that I wake up when I'm asleep.  If you put your ear on my belly around this week or next, you may be able to hear her little heartbeating.

Definately feeling pregnant.

Jeff will have to take a picture of me from now on because it is too hard for me to reach around and hold out the camera.
I tried to sleep on my belly last night, but the baby kicked me and told me to get off.
Her movements now are quite solid and when I put the headphones on my belly she dances.
I have a blood glucose test on July 18th because I'm getting fat.  I had a rapid weight gain over the last 6 weeks and my OB got concerned.  She said less refined sugar - especially high fructose corn syrup and more water and exercise.  I was drinking Snapple before class and she said that they have more sugar in them than a whole Hershey chocolate bar.
The sugar is sticking to my ass.
Well, with weight gain it means that the baby is healthy and not going to have health issues upon arrival.  My OB measured my fundal height and it was 28cm which is right on target.

big belly lady

I'm told that my belly button will eventually pop out all the way.  I don't think so.  I think mine would have by now so I think I'm stuck with a silly looking one.
The baby usually is found laying sideways.  Everytime I lay down and am just ready to fall asleep, she begins her kickboxing training.  Some nights I hardly sleep because I am rolling from one position to another trying to get comfortable.  Then there are those nights where I am so exhausted I sleep for 11 hours and wake up only to use the bathroom.  My energy level has dropped again.  They say it is due to the increasing levels of progestrone.  Jeff just bought me a folding eliptical machine and I'm excited to get busy and loose this babyfat.
I've also lost my feet.
